ORGANIZATIONS WE SUPPORT

At The Mobile Soup Kitchen, we strive to build a stronger, healthier community where everyone has access to nutritious food, essential supplies, and compassionate support. Three times a week, the Mobile Soup Kitchen van visits homeless encampments and other locations to deliver meals and essential supplies directly to people living outside or in unstable housing, typically serving 50 people per outing. The Mobile Soup Kitchen prepares simple, hearty meals and sandwiches using a mix of donated and rescued food, then packaged at the church for distribution in the community. The Mobile Soup Kitchen packs and delivers food hampers to local families in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach and surrounding areas. Free breakfast is served every Thursday morning at the First Presbyterian Church from 7am to 10am. Twice a month, the Mobile Soup Kitchen offers a supervised laundry time at a local laundromat. Clients can wash their clothes and linens using provided supplies and on-site help, ensuring access to clean clothing and basic dignity.

The Busby Centre Southern Georgian Bay serves Collingwood, Wasaga Beach & Stayner, providing Emergency Overnight Shelter & Street Outreach. The Emergency overnight shelter provides 10 beds to support our unhoused community in our area while they seek housing. This program operates 24/7. Food provided onsite. The Street Outreach Team operates 7 days a week, supporting the unhoused community in accessing a variety of housing and health support and resources.

Rodgers Way Home (formerly the Collingwood Supportive Rapid Rehousing Program) is a a transitional housing and rapid rehousing facility for seniors 55 years+ located in Collingwood, Ontario.

Bridging the critical gap between emergency shelter & independent living Home Horizon is dedicated to creating a supportive community where youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness are supported and empowered with the resources and skills to transition into adulthood. As a community, we break the cycle of youth homelessness with hope, safety and growth.

My Friend’s House provides shelter and crisis support, and advocates for equity for women and children in the South Georgian Bay area who are experiencing gender-based violence and abuse. For women and children experiencing abuse, finding safety can be overwhelming. It can mean leaving home quickly, reaching out in fear, or trying to make difficult decisions while carrying the weight of crisis. My Friend’s House exists so no woman has to face that moment alone. For years, we have provided a safe and supportive place for women and children in the South Georgian Bay area. What began as a response to an urgent community need continues today as a commitment to shelter, support, advocacy, and meaningful change. At My Friend’s House, safety is more than a place. It is a feeling of being believed, respected, and supported. It is the beginning of choice, stability, and hope.
